Le Papillon is a short animated film by Antoine Antin and Jenny Rakotomamonjy. The story is poignant, about a love that transcends death, and the visuals are quietly beautiful.
Asked about the making of the film, Antin said, “(The) backgrounds are 100% watercolor. (The) animation was traditionally hand-drawn and then Frank Millet inked every single rough drawing with (a) brush… We just used computer for compositing…”
